Wax Polish FAQs
Which shade should I choose?
Choose Black for black leather or Dark Brown for dark brown leather. Natural is also available. Check the shade photo and test a hidden area first, especially on light leather; the original colour and finish affect the result.
Will it darken my leather?
Possibly. Wax and oils can darken some leathers, and the leather’s own finish affects the result, so test a small hidden spot first.
Can wax polish change the colour of my shoes?
Choose a polish shade close to your leather for regular care. For a deliberate colour change, look at Revive Leather Paint and check your leather’s suitability. Wax polish does not repair cracked or peeling leather.
Can I use it on suede or patent?
No. It is for smooth leather shoes and boots. For suede and nubuck, use CAFFREY suede care; patent leather needs care made for it.
Is a brush or cloth included?
No. The tin comes on its own. Use a soft cloth to apply and buff; for seams and edges, the CAFFREY Horsehair Polish Applicator Brush is sold separately.
