Which way up does a heel pad go?

Coloured oval up, tacky side down, on top of the insole already in your shoe. Put the rounded end at the back and press it flat.

Will it stay in place?

The tacky underside helps hold it against your insole. Press it down tacky side first and check it sits flat before you put the shoe on.

Heel pad or heel grip: which do I need?

Choose a heel pad to cushion under your heel, or a heel grip if your heel rubs at the back of the shoe. CAFFREY Heel Grips line the back of the shoe.

Will it fit my shoes?

That depends on the room at your heel. The pad adds a layer, so your heel sits higher in the shoe. Try the shoe on with the pad in place, especially if it is snug or low at the back.

Does it help plantar fasciitis or heel pain?

It is sold for everyday heel cushioning, not as a treatment for plantar fasciitis, heel spurs or heel pain. If pain is severe or keeps coming back, see a doctor or podiatrist.

What is it made of?

It is made from shock-absorbent gel, as printed on the box. The body is clear; the oval is blue on the Men version and red on the Women version.

Do gel heel pads work?
