Leather Lotion FAQs

Does leather conditioner darken leather?

It can. Revive Lotion is colourless and adds no colour pigment, but conditioning can still deepen the look of some leathers. Test a hidden spot and let it dry before you treat the whole piece.

Should I choose Lotion or Delicate Cream?

Choose Lotion when conditioning dry or stiff smooth leather is your main aim. Delicate Cream combines regular surface cleaning and conditioning, and is CAFFREY’s recommendation for smooth sheepskin and lambskin.

Is it for suede, nubuck or sheepskin?

No. It isn't for suede, nubuck, patent leather, sheepskin or lambskin. For suede and nubuck, use CAFFREY Suede Cleaner & Conditioner; for sheepskin and lambskin, use CAFFREY Delicate Cream.

Can it fix cracked leather?

No. It helps keep leather soft, but it doesn't mend cracks, tears or peeling finishes, and it doesn't recolour leather.

How do I apply the lotion?

Check the item’s care instructions and test a hidden area first. Brush off loose dust, work in a little lotion with a soft cloth, then buff. Let the test area dry before treating the full item.
