No, it's optional, but we recommend it. CAFFREY Revive Color Finisher is a clear top coat that goes over dry paint or dye, in Matte or Gloss.

Matte or Gloss: which should I choose?

Match the sheen already on the piece: Matte for a low-sheen look, Gloss for a shinier one. Gloss is the can labelled Shiny. Test a hidden spot first.

Will it change the colour of my paint?
